Biography of Rosamunde Pilcher

Rosamunde Scott was born into a family of a naval officer.

She attended St. Clare's Polwithen School and later Howell's School Llandaff. After finishing school, she studied at secretarial courses. In 1942, during World War II, Rosamunde volunteered for the Navy and served from 1943 to 1946.

In 1943, she was stationed in India until the end of the war.

On December 7, 1946, Rosamunde married textile entrepreneur Graham Hope Pilcher and moved with him to Scotland. The Pilchers had four children: sons Robin and Mark, and daughters Fiona and Philippa (Pippa).

Over time, the family settled in Longforgan near Dundee, where Rosamunde Pilcher still resides. In 1996, Rosamunde and her husband celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
